Italian cookery courses organized in central Italy at the enchanting location of Il Castello di S. Cristina ideally situated in the Grotte di Castro area at the borders of Tuscany, Umbria and Latvia.
Santa Cristina Castle is the perfect setting for Italian cooking lessons. The special Santa Cristina cookery course is an introduction to the centuries old world of the traditional cooking of Tuscia.
Chef Chandra Sina, our expert Tuscan cook, has strong international experience and modern technical skills which he brings to the world of Italian culinary traditions. Chandra introduces guests to the wonders of local Tuscan food preparation and cooking of delicious, traditional Italian cuisine.
The wide range of cookery courses are held at the XV111 century castle in the enchanting, comfortable atmosphere of the old castle stables, which have been lovingly restored to provide an area dedicated to delivering the best cookery courses Italy can offer.
Every lesson, be it for one day, a weekend or a full week, will be a mix of theory and practice, with particular attention to the choice of local ingredients. Each day our guests will enjoy the fun of preparing their own lunch or dinner under the friendly supervision of the chef.
Our guests will have the added pleasure of learning about local produce at the castle and the ‘special wine and cheese tastings’ will add to the experience. It is the desire of Chandra that, above all, his guests have fun, enjoy the holiday atmosphere and take away with them personal memories of a great holiday and a new learning experience. Apart from passing on his not inconsiderable skills, Chandra’s gift to his guests will include a diploma of competence, photographs of the group at work in the kitchens and relaxing together and, to ensure that you don’t forget the recipes you learn how to prepare, a CD containing all the recipes.
